SOS1 is a guanine nucleotide exchange factor (GEF) for RAS proteins, which are membrane-associated proteins involved in various signaling pathways. RAS proteins are activated by GEF-facilitated GDP exchange for GTP, and inactivated by GTP hydrolysis. RAS signaling is upregulated in many different cancers, thus making RAS activation via SOS1 interaction a promising target for cancer therapy. Recombinant Human SOS1, His-Avi-tagged is useful for Inhibitor Screening, binding activity, and nucleotide exchange assays.
